Setting Up Payouts

We are thrilled to offer electronic payments for egg sellers. Buyers pay with a credit card, and egg sellers receive payouts direct in their checking account.

This removes the hassle of accepting physical currency, and gives our egg sellers confidence they will be paid.  Each seller must enable payouts in order to sell their eggs on our marketplace. 

We partner with Stripe, a payment platform built for marketplaces. We chose Stripe because it is simply the most trusted platform for marketplaces like ours. It's used by both startups and large companies, and Stripe employs strong security.

Steps to Configure Payouts with Stripe

1. Access your profile by clicking the avatar (human face icon) in the upper right corner
2. From your profile page, click ‘Edit Profile’ on the right side of the page
3. Click the ‘Payments’ link on the left menu
4. Under ‘Payout Preferences’, click 'Bank Account'. You will be redirected to Stripe to configure your account.

The process to set up Stripe is a little cumbersome, but can still be completed in 5 minutes. Stripe will ask you to link an active checking account, and you will need to answer some simple ID verification questions.

BuyMyEggs.com is always FREE to sellers. Buyers pay a fee of 6%. 

As example, if you sell two dozen eggs for $10.00, your seller fee will be $0.00, so $10.00 will be deposited into your bank account. Your customer would pay a fee of $0.60, for a total of $10.60.
